One of the Government’s austerity measures was the scrapping of the Child Trust Fund (CTF) whereby £250 was paid into an account for the benefit of the child upon becoming 18. Following criticism for not providing parents with an alternative, the Government has announced that they will create a new tax-free children’s savings account following the end of CTF eligibility.

Monkey The Drummer gets my vote
Inevitably my blog on polling day has more of a political flavour than usual but, similarly to 2/3rds of the nation, I do not live in a contested seat and hence my vote will have no impact on who will be running the country come tomorrow, nor indeed who my local MP will be. Congratulations in advance Edward Davey.
